About Bisma:
Bisma Anwar, LPC, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the Team Lead for the Talkspace Council of Mental Health Experts. She has worked in various mental health settings such as hospitals, clinics, non-profit organizations, and mental health startups. A major focus in her work is anxiety management and helping her clients develop healthy coping skills, reduce stress, and prevent burnout. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Buzzfeed, Well + Good, Bustle, and Self magazine.

Educational Information
Bisma has a Master of Education and a Master of Arts degree in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).
Experience
Bisma has been a therapist for the past 10+ years, mainly based in NYC. She addresses various mental health issues on her podcast Therappuccino and on her Instagram page, providing psychoeducation and coping strategies. She serves on the board of a non-profit organization based in NYC called The Heal Collective which promotes advocacy and awareness of mental health issues in BIPOC communities. Bisma is also co-founder of Moxie Living, a forum that organizes wellness retreats for women.
